Which nail art actually survives Bali?
Ten to fourteen days on fingers is realistic here. However, what fails first is almost never the colour — it is the top coat over the artwork at the free edge. Sand is abrasive, salt water swells the nail plate, and sunscreen creeps under the tip.
Four things that genuinely help:
- Choose art that sits flat. Chrome, cat eye, stamping and painted work are sealed under gel, so they wear as one surface. Stones, charms and 3D gel, on the other hand, sit proud and catch on everything — lovely for a wedding, but optimistic for a surf trip.
- Go a little shorter. Long extensions lever against everything you do. A medium almond or short squoval, meanwhile, takes the same design and survives it.
- Cuticle oil, daily. It costs Rp 10K here, and above all it does more for the base than anything else on this list.
- Have it removed properly. Otherwise, picking art off takes the top layer of your nail plate with it. Removal is Rp 50K for gel and Rp 150K for extensions, and it takes about 20 minutes.
