The Bukit has a natural spa window. From about 11am to 3pm the sun is at its hardest and the surf is usually blown out, so it’s the best time to be in an air-conditioned treatment room. Other times that work well:
Before sunset.
Treatment at 3pm, out by 4:30, then on to Uluwatu Temple for the Kecak dance.
The day after a big night.
Book early afternoon: massage, scrub and plenty of water, and you’ll feel normal again by dinner.
Your last day.
Checked out at noon, with a late flight? A long treatment and a shower fill the gap.

Getting here from around the Bukit
From Bingin
From Bingin it is about 10–15 minutes by scooter. Come up out of the village on Jl. Labuansait, join Jl. Raya Uluwatu and head toward Ungasan. You’ll pass the turn-off for Dreamland along the way. We’re on the main road in front of Tarabelle, with parking outside
From Balangan
From Balangan allow 10–15 minutes by scooter. Ride up Jl. Pantai Balangan to Jl. Raya Uluwatu and turn toward Ungasan. Look for Tarabelle café on the main road, and we’re right in front of it, with parking outside.
From Pecatu
From Pecatu it is about 10 minutes, straight along Jl. Raya Uluwatu toward Ungasan. You’ll pass the entrance to New Kuta Golf on the way. Coming from Dreamland or the golf course, Grab and Gojek also run this stretch if you’d rather not ride.
From Jimbaran
From Jimbaran Bay it is 15–20 minutes, a straight run up Jl. Raya Uluwatu onto the Bukit. You’ll pass GWK Cultural Park on the way. Most guests coming from Jimbaran book between 3pm and 5pm, so they’re back down at the bay for sunset.

IDR 180–350K for sixty minutes at an independent day spa with private rooms. Ours is IDR 200K. Clifftop resort spas run IDR 450–800K, where a large part of what you're buying is the setting. Below about IDR 100K, something has been cut.
For value and for treatment quality at a fair price, we'll make that case all day. If you want a pavilion over the ocean and a pool afterwards, a clifftop resort spa will beat us and we'd rather say so than pretend otherwise.
