60 min IDR 200K · 90 min IDR 290K · Jl. Raya Uluwatu No. 75X, Ungasan · Open 9am–9pm daily
The traditional Balinese massage is the treatment this island is known for, and it is the one we are asked for most. Ours runs long palm strokes down the back and legs, thumb and knuckle pressure along the muscle lines either side of the spine, skin rolling across the shoulders, and a gentle assisted stretch to finish. Warm coconut oil throughout, medium pressure by default, firmer or lighter the moment you ask. Sixty minutes is IDR 200K and ninety minutes is IDR 290K here in Ungasan — the clifftop resorts ten minutes down the same road charge IDR 450K to 800K for the same technique, the same oil and therapists trained the same way.
Eleven full-body treatments and nine focused 30-minute options, all at Ungasan prices. Start here if you are still deciding.
If medium Balinese pressure is not enough, our Signature Surf Massage goes slower and firmer into shoulders, lower back and hips. 60 min IDR 240K.
The same Balinese massage, side by side in one private room with two therapists. From IDR 400K for two people, no couples surcharge.
A warm herbal foot soak and pressure-point work through the soles — the obvious add-on after a day walking or riding the Bukit. 60 min IDR 220K.
The Balinese technique adapted to side-lying with full bolster support, from the second trimester. 60 min IDR 200K.
Every Balinese massage here is adjusted to you. Pressure, the areas you want worked and anything you want left alone are agreed before we start. Sixty minutes covers the whole body once. Ninety gives your therapist time to stay on the back, shoulders and legs long enough to actually shift the tight spots, which is why most guests who try it once book it again.

Balinese therapists are trained to work firmly, but they read the room and start at medium. Guests who describe a massage here as too soft almost never asked for more. Say “firm” or “light” at the start, and say it again halfway through if it still is not right. It is completely normal here, not rude, and your therapist would far rather know.
Sixty minutes, front and back, in four parts.
Warm oil, long strokes up the calves and hamstrings, thumb work through the arches. This is where your therapist works out how firm you like it.
The longest section. Palm strokes down either side of the spine, then thumb and knuckle pressure along the muscle lines, then skin rolling across the tops of the shoulders.
You turn over. Arms and hands, the fronts of the legs, and a gentle assisted stretch through the shoulders and hips.
Scalp and neck to finish, then ginger tea in the front room. Unhurried, and no product upsell on the way out.
A full-body oil massage combining long palm strokes, thumb acupressure along the muscle and energy lines, skin rolling and gentle assisted stretching. It is medium pressure by default — relaxing, but therapeutic rather than purely soothing.
IDR 200K for 60 minutes and IDR 290K for 90 minutes at our Ungasan spa on Jl. Raya Uluwatu.
It should not be. It is firmer than a Swedish massage but much lighter than deep tissue. Tell your therapist “light” or “firm” and they will adjust straight away.
Balinese massage uses warm oil on a table with flowing pressure strokes. Thai massage is done clothed on a mat with assisted stretching and no oil.
No. Disposable underwear is available and you are covered by a sarong throughout, with only the area being worked on uncovered.
As often as you like. On a week-long trip most guests book two, and there is no reason not to have one daily.
